Korea vs Japan, Asian Champions Trophy LIVE Updates: KOR 3 JPN 5 - Japan prevail over Korea to claim 3rd spot
The Hockey Asian Champions Trophy 2023 concludes today (August 12) at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai. And on the first match of the final day, South Korea will lock horns against Japan in the third-place playoff. The match will start at 6 pm IST and it promises to be a close affair.
Defending Champions South Korea won the group stage match 2-1 against Japan in the first match of the tournament. The Korean side were trailing 1-0 after an early Ryomi Ooka goal, but they rallied back with goals in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to snatch a slender victory. Park Cheoleon and Kim Junghoo scored the goals for the Korean side.
