OUT! Run Out. Pat Cummins to James Anderson. Short, outside off stump on the back foot Fended, hit body to leg gully, fielded by Marsh, by Bancroft. What an end to the innings, some confused calling and Crane is comfortably run out. Anderson wanted to scamper to the other end to escape the firing line but Crane hesitated. Eventually he goes for it but by that point it's too late.
So England finish on 346, a score that is neither here nor there really. They can be pleased with the efforts of their lower order though, some handy contributions from Curran and Broad courtesy of some lusty blows. Pat Cummins was fantastic for Australia, maintaining his intensity even as his overs piled up, and in the end he's unlucky to miss out on a five wicket haul. We'll take lunch now and resume in the afternoon with the response from the hosts. It's a scorching day in Sydney and still looks a beautiful time to be batting.

OUT! Caught. Nathan Lyon to Stuart Broad. Off break length ball, off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, top edge in the air uncontrolled to slips, by Smith. Broad looks for a filthy mow over the legside but it looks pretty ugly, and the ball balloons up allowing Smith to jog backwards and swallow it up. Lyon finally gets some reward in this innings, he's been impressive once again. That was a handy knock by Broad though, pushing England towards a competitive total.

OUT! Caught. Pat Cummins to Tom Curran. Short, down leg side on the back foot defending, inside edge to short leg, by Bancroft. Snaffled by the man under the lid, Curran's swashbuckling innings comes to an end. Cummins persisted with the short pitched assault and it finally pays off, although it has leaked a few runs. Curran was looking to ride the bounce and block this one but instead it pops up off the splice to Bancroft. Curran can be proud of that knock. Crane walks to the middle on debut.

That's the end of that, Steve Smith calls in the troops and Australia have declared. 193 overs of toil for England will leave them feeling pretty weary, but they will have to come out and bat incredibly if they want to save some face and save the match. Nathan Lyon will have a huge role to play on this wearing surface, there are plenty of footmarks for him to exploit.
FOUR! Mason Crane to Pat Cummins. Leg spinner length ball, down leg side on the front foot sweeping, in the air under control past fine leg for 4 runs, mis-fielded by Stoneman. Stoneman pulled of a great piece of fielding earlier but this is at the other end of the spectrum, an understandably tired effort. The lead is past 300.

FOUR! Stuart Broad to Pat Cummins. Half volley, middle stump on the front foot driving, inside edge past fine leg for 4 runs. Frustration for Broad, he's been stuck on 399 Test wickets for quite a while now. Cummins swings hard and gets a slice of luck as this narrowly misses leg stump and scoots down to the rope.

FOUR! Mason Crane to Pat Cummins. Leg spinner short, middle stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. That's a tired delivery, you have to feel for the debutant into his 47th over. Cummins ruthlessly spanks it over the top.

OUT! Caught. Moeen Ali to Mitchell Starc. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Vince. Clever bowling, Moeen stops Starc's fun before it really gets going. He tossed this one up again but it was wider of the stumps so Starc had to fetch it, and this time his wild swish sends the ball straight up. Vince gobbles it up, England will hope the tail folds quickly from here. I wouldn't be so sure though, Cummins strides out and he's more than handy.
SIX! Moeen Ali to Mitchell Starc. Off break length ball, off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Wow, that's gone a mile back. Moeen Ali to Tim Paine. Off break length ball, middle stump on the front foot flick, to deep backward square leg for 1 run, fielded by Crane.
OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to James Anderson. Short, down leg side on the back foot defending, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. First ball after drinks and Hazlewood has finished the job. Anderson doesn't think he's touched this but the umpire does, and that's good enough because England are out of reviews. Australia have crushed England by an innings and 123 runs at the SCG, that seals the series 4-0. The hosts have completely outplayed the tourists with both bat and ball, and fully deserve the glory of lifting the urn.
England fought hard today, their captain especially showing admirable desire after spending the morning in hospital. In the end though, they were unable to resist a rampant Aussie attack on a wearing surface. It was always going to be tough for the tourists after making a sub-par total when they had won the toss, and the hosts really made them toil in the heat over the next few days.
That's The Ashes done and dusted for another couple of years, and what a series it has been for Australia. Yet another absolute drubbing of England down under, charging to a 4-0 series win in style. Steve Smith lifts the urn as player of the series, and all of Australia celebrate. Next up it's the ODI series starting in just under a week, perhaps England can bounce back with a change in format.
Nathan Lyon to Tom Curran. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, back to bowler for no runs, fielded by Lyon.
England have survived to afternoon drinks, but surely it won't be too long before this is done and dusted and Steve Smith can get his hands on the urn.
Nathan Lyon to Tom Curran. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, missed to slips for no runs. Not often you see this. The ball scoots through low, past Paine, and into a helmet placed behind him. That's five penalty runs to the England total.

FOUR! Nathan Lyon to Tom Curran. Off break length ball, outside off stump down the track driving, well timed past deep extra cover for 4 runs.
