- India and Scotland are set to meet in men's T20Is for the first time; India have logged just one win from their three Super 12 games so far at this ICC Men's T20 World Cup (L2), while Scotland remain the only winless team in Group 2 (L3).

- George Munsey (49) is set to make his 50th T20I appearance, becoming just the sixth player to log a half century of appearances for Scotland in the men's format; he's scored 20+ runs in each of his last four T20I innings against a Test-playing nation including a half century against Zimbabwe in September 2021.
- Rohit Sharma (2,952) is 48 runs shy of becoming the third player – and second for India – to score 3,000 runs in men's T20Is (Kohli, Guptill); Sharma has logged four 60+ run scores in his last eight innings in the format.
