  • Pakistan have won all their three men’s T20I matches against the United Arab Emirates, with each of the last two such wins coming by 31-run margins at Sharjah (Aug-Sep 2025); however, this will be the first time these two teams face off at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
  • Pakistan have won 16 of their 17 men’s T20Is against current ICC associate nations (T1), including each of the last four such games; the only time they failed to win such a game was against the United States of America on 6 June 2024.
  • The United Arab Emirates have lost each of their last five men’s T20Is against ICC full member nations, including two defeats to Pakistan (Aug-Sep 2025); the last time they beat a full-member nation was a seven-wicket win against Bangladesh in Sharjah on 21 May 2025.
  • Pakistan have lost nine of the 21 men’s T20I matches that they have played in 2025 (W12); another defeat will see them lose 10 matches in a calendar year for only the fourth time (2010 – 12, 2022 – 12 and 2024 – 16).
  • Pakistan batters have hit 162 sixes in men’s T20I matches played in 2025, the most among all full member nations and third most overall in that period (Austria – 280, Bahrain – 175); on the other hand, UAE batters have hit 91 sixes in the same time.
  • The United Arab Emirates were bowled out for 57 in their most recent men’s T20I (v India on 10 September 2025), the fifth time they have been bowled out for under 100 in the format; in fact, each of the UAE’s two most recent sub-100 dismissals in the format have come at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
  • Saim Ayub has a bowling average of 8.6 in the ongoing edition of the Asia Cup, the best such rate by any Pakistan bowler to have bowled at least five overs in any single T20 edition of the tournament.
  • Muhammad Waseem (UAE) has scored 495 runs in men’s T20Is in 2025, he is five runs away from becoming just the second batter to score 500 runs in the format in four different calendar years after Babar Azam (2018, 2021, 2022, 2024); he could become the first player to do so in four consecutive years.
  • Hasan Nawaz has scored 446 runs at a strike rate of 159.3 in men’s T20Is in 2025, the second highest such rate by any Pakistan batter to have scored at least 200 runs in in the format a calendar year (Shoaib Malik – 166 in 2018).
  • Haider Ali (UAE) has bowled at an economy rate of 5.54 in men’s T20Is in 2025, the third best such rate among all bowlers to have bowled at least 50 overs in the format this year (Saad Bin Zafar – 5.05, Abdul Majid – 5.12).
