Jaydev Unadkat is a left-arm India seamer who plays for Saurashtra in the domestic circuit. He was born on 18 October 1991. He is known his swift seam bowling and possessing a truckload of experience. He first burst onto the scene with impressive spells in the U-19 World Cup in 2010 and returned with seven wickets in four games. The same year he managed to get a call-up for Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy.  He was included in the Indian A team and in his debut match picked up 13 wickets against West Indies. On the back of his impressive rise, he was called up to the national team against South Africa. However, he had a forgettable debut and failed get a single wicket in that match. He was subsequently dropped in the next match and failed to secure a spot in the team for a long time.  Despite disappointment despair, the left-arm pacer looked at the domestic circuit to make a comeback and Saurashtra reaped the benefits of it. He helped them win two Ranji trophies in 2019-20 and 2022-23. He became the leading wicket-taker in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy, with 67 wickets in ten matches.  Due to his impressive showing and consistent hard work, he managed to make a comeback India's Test squad in 2022 after he was picked for Bangladesh tour. He somehow has never been the first-choice bowler for any skipper so far however his narrative could be remembered for skill, strength, and perseverance.
