Trent Boult IPL Profile

Trent Boult is a New Zealand international and left-arm fast-medium bowler who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. Boult has been a regular feature in the IPL since making his debut in the 2015 IPL edition for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The left-arm pacer has been a consistent source of wickets for the franchise through the years.

Boult's age is 33 years in 2023. The Kiwi international's height in feet is 5 feet 11 inches and his body weight is 70 kg. He is happily married to Gert Smith since 2017. They live in Mt. Maunganui, along with their two children.

Till IPL 2023, Boult has featured for five Indian Premier League teams. He started his IPL career with Sunrisers Hyderabad and then was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders team for the 2017 Indian Premier League.

He also has played for Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He signed for Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2022 season and the move turned out to be a game-changer for him.

Boult recorded 16 wickets and 3 maidens for Rajasthan Royals in 2022 - the joint-most by any bowler. He played an integral role in guiding Rajasthan Royals to the IPL 2022 final but lost to Gujarat Titans. Owing to his performances, they retained his services for this edition.

Boult's best season in the Indian Premier League came in the Mumbai Indians colours in the 2020 season when he managed to pick up 25 wickets with an economy of 7.97. His other notable seasons include - 18 wickets in the 2018 season for Delhi Daredevils and 13 wickets for Mumbai Indians in the 2019 campaign.

Boult was a regular in the international T20 team as well before he stepped away from it in August 2022 expressing a wish to spend more time with his family and make more room in his schedule for franchise cricket.

Till 2022, Boult featured in 55 T20 games for the Blackcaps, taking 74 wickets with an average of 22.26 at an economy of 7.86 runs per over with a best individual figure of 4/13.
