Born on 26 April 2002 Akash Singh is a young Indian cricketer hailing from Rajasthan. He is known for his sizzling pace and has the ability to clock up to 145 kmph when in the momentum. Akash comes from a humble background. His father is a farmer, while his mother is a homemaker. He also has two sisters, and an elder brother in his home.
At an early age, he started playing cricket and enrolled in the MRF Pace Foundation, where he trained under the close supervision of renowned Australian bowler Glenn McGrath. Later, he got chance in domestic cricket matches for Rajasthan in the Under-16 and Under-19 divisions. He made his T20 debut for Rajasthan in 2019 and in his debut game dismissed opposition captain Dinesh Karthik and opening batsman Murali Vijay. He was also an integral part of the Indian team that competed in the U19 World Cup final in 2020 taking 11 wickets in six matches at an average of 8.18 runs per over.
His impressive U-19 World Cup form earned him a contract with Rajasthan Royals in 2020 although without playing a game he was released of the side ahead of next term. He was again bought in the next auction and he played just one IPL game in 2021. RR released him from the side once again and he was primarily unsold ahead of the 2023 IPL. However, an injury to Chennai Super Kings pacer Mukesh Choudhary earned him a contract to compete in the tournament in 2023.
