Jasprit Bumrah IPL Profile

Jasprit Bumrah is an Indian cricketer who plays as a fast bowler for the Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians and the Indian national cricket team. 

Born on December 6 1993 in Ahmedabad, the right-arm pacer has represented India in Tests, ODIs and T20Is as well. 

Bumrah made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2013 against Royal Challengers Bangalore and took three wickets. He proved to be a lucky charm for the franchise as they ended up winning their maiden title that year. He has been part of all successful IPL campaigns for Mumbai Indians i.e. 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020. 

Bumrah is known for his brilliant bowling at the death overs and his unplayable yorkers. He also reached the ICC Champions Trophy Final with India in 2017 and won the Asia Cup in 2016 and 2018. 

Bumrah is the first Asian bowler to take 5 wickets in South Africa, England and Australia in the same year in Test matches. His wife Sanjana Ganeshan is a popular sports presenter and anchor. 

Bumrah has also earned praise from legendary former cricketers like Wasim Akram, who termed him the best bowler in world cricket. Bumrah has been compared to the best fast bowlers of the past and present like Waqar Younus, Kagiso Rabada, Shoaib Akhtar and Lasith Malinga. 

He also played a vital role in the famous Test win at the Gabba in Brisbane, Australia. Bumrah scored 32 runs in one over in a Test match against England to showcase his big hitting skills.
