Avesh Khan IPL Profile

Born on 13 December 1996 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Avesh Khan is an Indian cricketer who represents Madhya Pradesh in the first-class circuit and Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League. 

He is a fast bowler who can move the ball both ways. With an impressive physique, Avesh can also generate a good pace with the ball by constantly clocking up to 140 Kmph.

Avesh started playing cricket at a very young age under the guidance of his father who also played cricket at the domestic level. After slowly progressing through the ranks he made his List A debut for Madhya Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for 2017–18. He was picked up for the 2018-19 Ranji season as well next. 

He ended the tournament with 35 wickets as Madhya Pradesh's leading wicket-taker which brought him into the limelight. He was part of both the 2014 and 2016 U-19 World Cups for India as well. In the 2016 edition of the U-19 World Cup, he picked the most number of wickets - 12 for India.

Avesh made his Indian Premier League debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2017 edition after he was bought for Rs 10 lakhs. Ahead of the 2018 edition, he was snapped up by Delhi for Rs 75 lakhs and the move proved to be his breakthrough point. He made the opportunity count massively, picking up 24 wickets. 

He finished the 2018 edition as the leading wicket-taker for his side, and second overall in that edition. He was retained by the franchise for IPL 2020 but was released after three seasons. He became the most expensive uncapped player in league's history the next season when Lucknow signed him for Rs. 10 Crore in 2022. 

After impressing one and all with his performances over the years, he finally received his call-up to the national team in the T20 and ODI series against West Indies in February 2022.
