Mitchell Marsh IPL Profile

Mitchell Marsh is a famous Australian international cricketer who hails from a sports family and carries the reputation of hard-hitting all-rounder, who can bat anywhere in the order. Marsh was born on 20 October 1991 in Attadale, Western Australia and is the younger sibling of Australian batter Shaun Marsh and the son of legendary pacer Geoff Marsh. 
Meanwhile, Mitchell's sister, Melissa Marsh, was a professional basketball player and is related to former AFL star Brad Sheppard. The dynamic all-arounder, who can bowl at a pace of 140 kmph, began playing professional cricket at the age of 17 and soon achieved many feats in his career so far. 

In 2010, Marsh was chosen as Australia's U19 skipper, and he guided his squad to a victory at the U19 World Cup. He scored 201 runs in the competition, which included a match-winning 97 against Sri Lanka in the semifinal. In addition, Marsh made history by becoming Australia's youngest debutant in 70 years, besides in a domestic one-day match. 
In October 2011, Mitchell Marsh made his ODI debut against South Africa after Brett Lee withdrew from the game due to illness. That same year, Marsh made an impact on his maiden T20 appearance against South Africa as he shot 36 runs with four sixes. 

Mitchell Marsh was signed by the Deccan Chargers for the 2010 IPL even before he made his international debut. Marsh, later in 2016, was associated with the now-defunct Pune Warriors India for a year. He joined IPL again in 2020 after a gap of three years as he was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad but could offer his service for just one game before getting ruled out of the tournament due to injury. SRH released ahead of next season. Marsh then joined the Delhi Capitals after being purchased by the team for Rs 6.50 Crore during the IPL 2023 Auction.
