Kulwant Khejroliya IPL Profile

Kulwant Khejroliya is an Indian cricketer who plays for Delhi in domestic cricket and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. He is a left-arm medium-fast bowler with plenty of experience in domestic cricket but has not quite made it big in IPL. He made his List A debut for Delhi in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 26 February 2017. Prior to his debut for Delhi, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians team for the 2017 IPL season for Rs 10 lakhs but did not make an appearance for the Mumbai franchise.

Khejroliya made his first-class debut for Delhi in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 6 October 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Delhi in the 2017–18 Zonal T20 League on 9 January 2018. He was snapped up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2018 IPL auction and was with the Bangalore franchise for just two seasons. He made just five appearances for RCB in 2018 and 2019 combined and took 3 wickets.

Born on the 13th of March, 1992, in Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan in a lower-middle class family. His parents wanted their son to complete his education and secure a well paid job. He tried his hand at the railway exams. After failing a couple of times, he served as a waiter at a Restaurant in Goa.

One of his friends spotted his bowling talent and asked him to join the LB Shastri Academy in Delhi. The young man did not disappoint the selectors at the trials. Gautam Gambhir was impressed with his talent and asked the coaches to train him for the senior team. Kulwant trained under Sanjay Bhardwaj and Atul Wassan and continued to his stunning progress. He has an ability to generate plenty of pace in his balls and can swing both ways. He has been snapped up by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2023 IPL auction at the base price of Rs. 20 lakhs.
