Liam Livingstone IPL Profile

Liam Livingstone is a right-handed batsman from England, who can bowl right-arm leg break and off-spin as well. Livingstone was born on August 4, 1993, in Barrow Inn, Cumbria, England. 

Known for his powerful hitting and seen as a T20 specialist, Livingstone first came into the limelight in 2015 after scoring 350 runs off 138 balls for his club team Nantwich. It remains one of the best individual scores in the first class one-day history.

Liam has amassed several significant achievements during his domestic cricket journey and was picked by English county Lancashire, for whom he debut in T20s in May 2015. He received his maiden County cap in 2017 after serving as stand-in skipper and leading Lancashire to their first victory of the season.

 His good T20 showing at the level in the same year earned him his maiden England call up and was followed by international debut against South Africa. In 2021, Livingstone scored his first century (103 runs in 42 balls) in a T20I match against Pakistan. This was also a historic knock as it was the fastest T20I hundred by an English batter. 

Liam made his ODI debut in the same season during a series against India. This swashbuckling batsman also scored the fastest 50 for England in ODIs (in just 16 deliveries). His reputation made his selection for the England squad to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup inevitable. Livingstone had an underwhelming tournament though despite England's success as he scored just 55 runs and took 3 wickets in 6 matches. 

Liam Living made his IPL debut in 2019 for the Rajasthan Royals. However, due to his poor performance, he was released by the franchise ahead of the 2020 season. Rajasthan Royals subsequently retained the player in the 2021 auction but released ahead of IPL 2022 season. He is currently playing for Punjab Kings after being bought for a whopping Rs 11.50 crore during IPL 2022 Auction.
