We have seen a number of mystery spinners donning the Purple and Gold jersey over the years and the next big thing from their ranks could be Suyash Sharma. He is a rising Indian mystery spinner who is mainly known for playing U-25 cricket, and has been snapped up by Kolkata Knight Riders squad for the IPL 2023 season for just Rs. 20 lakhs.

Sharma was born on 15 May 2003 in Delhi and is still very much raw in terms of talent. Aged just 19 ahead of IPL 2023, he is yet to make his First Class and List A debut but has played for Delhi at youth level. He is predominantly a bowler but can also put a shift with the bat. He is a right-handed lower-order batsman. Sharma has a frame of 5’10” feet and has a body weight of around 65 kg.

Suyash Sharma has a deceptive bowling action and has plenty of tricks up his sleeve with his leg spin. He has a bright future ahead of himself and KKR has big hopes from their youngster. KKR have spinners like Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy who can help the youngster reach the next level. The talented teenage sensation got his opportunity for KKR in 2023 and made his debut against RCB in the IPL 2023 game and returned with impressive figures of 3/30 on his debut.
