Vaibhav Arora IPL Profile

Vaibhav Arora is an Indian cricketer who plays domestic cricket for Himachal Pradesh and Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League. He was first signed by the Kolkata franchise for the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League but was released ahead of the 2022 auction where Punjab paid INR 2 crore for his services. He was re-signed by Kolkata for the 2023 season of IPL for a price of Rs. 60 lakhs. Born on 14 December 1997, Arora was 25 years of age ahead of IPL 2023. He is predominantly is a right-arm pace bowler but is also a decent right-handed batsman. 

The Haryana-born bowler made his First-Class debut for Himachal Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy in December 2019 and made an immediate impact. He picked up a 6-for in his debut bowling innings including the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara and followed it up with a 3-for in the second innings. The Himachal Pradesh side handed him a T20 debut in January 2021 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where he again made a quick and solid impression. 

He also made his List A debut on 21 February 2021 for Himachal Pradesh in the 2020–21 Vijay Hazare Trophy and picked up a hat-trick in his debut game. On his IPL debut for Punjab Kings, Arora took the wickets of Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali. Thanks to his frame of 5 feet 10 inches, Arora can bowl excellent bouncers and has wonderful variations. He is also capable of swinging on both directions.
