Kartik Tyagi IPL Profile

Kartik Tyagi is an Indian cricketer who plays for Uttar Pradesh domestically and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. Born on 8 November 2000 in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, Tyagi is just 22 years of age at the time of IPL 2023. He was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2022 auction for Rs 4 Crore. 

Kartik Tyagi is a right-arm fast bowler who can bowl really fast and has an excellent ability to swing the ball both ways. His frame of 6 feet 3 inches makes him pretty difficult to play against for opposition batsmen. He was one of the standout performers from India's 2020 U19 campaign. He is able to consistently clock 140 kmph.

Tyagi made his First-class debut against Railways in October 2017 where he picked 3 wickets during the course of the two innings. He, later, made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 5 February 2018 against Delhi in Bilaspur. He bowled 9 overs in the match and picked up 2 wickets by shelling 50 runs. 

Kartik made waves when he was selected for the Under 19 World Cup 2020. The 19-year-old returned with 11 wickets including a game-changing 4/24 against Australia in the quarterfinal. Tyagi's exploits saw him being snapped up by  Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020 and has been with Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2022. On 26 October 2020, Tyagi was named as one of four additional bowlers to travel with Indian cricket team for their tour to Australia.
